Earthenware manufacturers Vulcan Ware pottery were operating under Elektra Porcelain Co Ltd, Edensor Works, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, England.

From 1941 Elektra Porcelain was concentrated with the Avon Art Pottery at the Jubilee Works, Longton. This was under the Wartime Concentration Scheme.

During the war period Avon Art Pottery were permitted to produce teapots and coffee pots for domestic sales and Electra Porcelain were only permitted to produce ware for export.

Post 1945 Electra Porcelain operated as an associate company of Avon Art Pottery.

In 1951, 1956 and 1960 directories the company officers are recorded as: Managing Director - C.L. Baxter, Sales Manager - R. Bettaney.  (the M.D. of Avon Art Pottery was K.W. Baxter - presumably the Baxters were in the same family).

In 1961 the Jubilee Works of Avon Art Pottery were sold and both companies operated at the Endsor Works.

In October 1968 both Elektra Porcelain and Avon Art Pottery started voluntary winding up proceedings.
