Studio pottery marks can be a minefield when come to identifying or narrowing down individual potters personal marks or pottery where the wares are made, especially new up and coming potters and potteries. During the studio pottery boom time in 1970's & 1980's their where many potteries producing wares. Many were short lived and closed, as a result many potters & pottery marks where never catalogued in books for reference so most are never known or simply unidentified.
